This starts with investing properly in our core assets, infrastructure, and services. It also requires co-governance; the ability to build and share power with community organizations, municipal elected officials, advocacy organizations, and policy experts. Sara has a track record of bringing people together across divides to solve problems and is ready to lead on day one.
➜ Form a more active partnership with Pittsburgh Regional Transit to rebuild ridership, expand service to underserved communities, create workforce pipelines, and strengthen our economy
➜ Implement a Critical Infrastructure Investment Plan to protect and maintain our assets
➜ Incentivize shared services between the city, county, and municipal governments to reduce wasteful spending and duplication and improve service delivery for all residents
➜ Work with County Council to make the budgeting and spending process more transparent, accountable, and participatory
➜ Increase investment in parks, trails, and greenspaces to provide healthy recreation opportunities for all County residents
